Questions & answers

You can contact Doorspace, visit during an open day, or arrange an introduction. Before using machines independently, you will need to complete the relevant onboarding and safety inductions.

A standard monthly membership gives access to the makerspace during opening hours and use of the shared facilities and machines for which you have completed the safety induction.

The standard monthly membership is €80 per month excluding VAT per person.

Members can use the space during opening hours, but access is subject to availability. Workshops, courses, booked activities, or specific events may have priority over individual use.

Yes. Every user must sign a waiver of responsibility and must be covered by liability insurance.

A standard Doorspace membership costs €80 per month excluding VAT.

This membership is meant for people who already know they want to use the makerspace regularly for a full month.

The monthly membership starts from the day you activate it. It is valid for 30 days from that date, not necessarily from the first day of the calendar month.

With the standard membership, members can come to Doorspace during opening hours and use the woodworking tools and shared workbenches.

To use specific machines, users must first complete the relevant safety induction and have the correct access permissions on their Doorspace NFC card.

This is useful for people who do not know in advance how often they will come, or who only need occasional access.

Yes. The daily membership is capped at €100 excluding VAT within a 30-day period.

This means that if you come more than 10 times within 30 days, your access is automatically capped at €100.

The 30-day period starts from the first day you come to Doorspace.

If you come more than 10 times within those 30 days, you pay a maximum of €100 excluding VAT for that 30-day period. After reaching the cap, you can continue to access Doorspace for the remaining days until the end of that 30-day period without paying extra daily access fees.

If you come 10 days or fewer within 30 days, you only pay for the days you actually used the space.

Yes. If you come to Doorspace for the first time on 5 March, your 30-day period starts on 5 March.

If you come 8 times between 5 March and 3 April, you pay 8 × €10 = €80 excluding VAT.

If you come 12 times between 5 March and 3 April, you pay the capped price of €100 excluding VAT, and you can still come for the remaining days of that 30-day period without extra daily access costs.

Yes. To access and use the machines, users need a Doorspace NFC card.

The NFC card is provided by Doorspace with a €10 deposit. This deposit is returned when the card is handed back.

The NFC card is used to manage machine access and safety permissions. After completing a machine safety induction, the relevant access can be added to your card.

This helps ensure that users only operate machines they have been trained to use.

At the moment, Doorspace does not yet offer longer memberships.

We are considering discounted memberships for 3, 6, and 12 months in the future. For more information about longer-term access, you can get in touch with us directly.
