We’re delighted to have Make It Fun Hobbies, one of the resident makers at Doorspace, sharing their creativity during our Open Day. Throughout the evening, they’ll be running a variety of fun, hands-on workshops that combine engineering, mechanics, and making in an accessible and playful way. Whether you’re young or old, these workshops are a great opportunity to build something unique, learn new skills, and experience the joy of making.
Beat the heat with hands-on engineering! Purchase a kit, assemble the electric pump and housing at our workbenches, and then head out to the parking lot refill station to test your creation.
This workshop teaches the basics of simple electronics and fluid mechanics. You'll learn how to connect a battery to a small water pump, seal the tubing, and mount it all inside a custom housing. Once built, it fits onto a standard cold water bottle for instant outdoor fun. It's the perfect summer project!
