Yes. Doorspace can host events, presentations, talks, workshops, meetups, screenings, community gatherings, and other activities connected to making, design, creativity, sustainability, technology, education, or community building.
There is no fixed price to rent the space for an event.
Every event is different, so the price depends on the type of activity, duration, number of people, required equipment, setup, supervision, and whether the event fits the mission of the makerspace.
In some cases, Doorspace can also host events for free when the purpose fits well with the makerspace and its community.
You can get in touch with Doorspace and share some basic information about your event, such as:
- the type of event
- preferred date and time
- expected number of people
- duration
- required equipment
- whether you need catering or drinks
- whether the event is public, private, educational, cultural, or commercial
Based on this, we can discuss what is possible.
The official maximum capacity of the space is 72 people at the same time, including visitors, organisers, guests, and resident designers present in the building at that moment.
Yes. Depending on availability, Doorspace can provide equipment such as:
- microphone
- PA system
- television
- projector
Please mention what you need when enquiring, so we can check availability and prepare the setup.
Doorspace does not directly provide catering.
However, we can help arrange catering externally if needed. You are also welcome to organise food and drinks yourself, as long as this is agreed in advance.
Yes. Doorspace has a small kitchen.
However, for events it is usually advised to source food externally rather than preparing everything on site.
Yes. Doorspace has fridges and some storage space for food and drinks if needed.
This should be discussed in advance, especially for larger events or catering deliveries.
