Doorspace is a makerspace in Maastricht where people can access tools, machines, workbenches, knowledge, and a community of makers. It is a place to create, learn, experiment, repair, prototype, and meet other people working on creative or technical projects.
Doorspace is open to makers, designers, students, artists, entrepreneurs, hobbyists, and anyone interested in making. Some machines require a safety induction before use.

Doorspace includes shared workbenches, woodworking machines, laser cutting, CNC routing, 3D printing, plastics recycling tools, sewing/textile equipment, a heat press, electronics tools, and general making facilities.
Access to specific machines depends on your training and the availability of the space.
Not immediately. For safety reasons, users need to complete the relevant machine safety induction before using certain machines. After the induction, you can use the machines you are authorised for.
Yes. Doorspace works with educational institutions and can arrange student licences for courses, projects, or temporary access.
For example, an institution can arrange a number of student licences for the duration of a course. Students still need to complete the relevant safety inductions before using machines.
Safety inductions are short training sessions explaining how to safely use a specific machine or machine group. They usually take about one hour. The induction needs to be completed before independent use of that machine.
For institutional groups, safety inductions are usually paid separately by the institution.
Yes. Doorspace can collaborate with schools, academies, universities, and other institutions. Options can include student licences, course-based access, specific workshops, safety inductions, or use of the facilities for a defined period.
